“Chiropractic is a wonderful profession of service and it is an honor to be a part of it. I was introduced to chiropractic care at a young age and inspired by a childhood friend’s father who was a Doctor of Chiropractic. I always knew I wanted to do something in science from a young age and would read various books on different subjects and profession in the world of science. At the age of 13, I was assigned a project to research a potential career path. Wanting to research a career that would allow me to become a doctor in healthcare, I was inspired by my childhood Chiropractor. Once I completed researching the field, I was hooked, and my educational career was focused on achieving my Doctorate in Chiropractic.
After 10 years of advanced education, I had achieved my goal…but during that process I discovered something that I wasn’t expecting…the TRUTH that is Chiropractic. It is a common misconception that Chiropractic is only for back pain, neck pain and headaches. However, Chiropractic was founded upon removing interference in the Nervous System caused by misalignments in the Spine. This interference limits your bodies ability to function, as the brain cannot communicate to it and control the body due to this interference. With this simple truth, Chiropractic can assist many health conditions. And it does this through removing this interference when present and NOT by treating symptoms, conditions, or disease. A Chiropractor corrects Spinal Subluxation (misalignment), removing Nerve Interference, to restore Function to the body for your health benefit!
When I discovered this fact and it being applied through the Gonstead System specialty by my many mentors I was fortunate enough to find, I saw specific chiropractic care assist patients beyond pain and symptoms, something general chiropractic care does not always achieve. I saw my mentors assist patients with infertility, to seizures, to erectile dysfunction, to anxiety & depression, to digestive issues such as Irritable bowel; the health issues I saw these Gonstead Specialists helping their patients with are vast! I just knew that I needed to return to my home community and provide it with this specific care!
In addition to providing the most specific care available in the chiropractic profession, it is part of my life goal to re-educate my community on what TRUE Chiropractic care is and what true proactive healthcare is. I fully believe in the need for our fantastic allopathic professions and work with them closely in the care of our mutual patients…if I can help educate our next generation to be healthier and make better health decisions, I will have left the world a better place.
